$60.00/hour; Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. For more information, refer to the CCA collective bargaining agreement or your college HR office. This is for an adjunct pool that will be used to staff part-time head coach in Division of Physical Education and Athletics for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic year.

Basic Function

This is for an adjunct pool that will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions for the 2015-2016 academic year. The Nutrition Instructor for Culinary Arts will teach courses in the Foods and Nutrition Program.

Education and Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s in nutrution, dietetics and food administration
OR – Bachelor’s in any of the above
AND – Master’s in chemistry, public health, or family and consumer studies/home economics
OR – The equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for these positions. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications must request and submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE form. Supporting documents must be included with the completed form.
AND – A demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.

Note: Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an evaluation service.

  • Knowledge of personal computers and willingness to use and develop computer assisted and/or multi-media instructional materials.
  • Ability to incorporate student learning outcome objectives within courses and programs and willingness to use and develop stated objectives and measures.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the community college mission and philosophy.
  • A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
